2015 Golden Helix 5k                        

Overall Winners:

Age Group Awards: 

(M/F, each 3 deep)

10 & under, 11-14, 15-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60+

Children 10 & under receive a special award and recognition.  Overall winners are not eligible for age group awards, so there will be many opportunities to win something.  

Best Dressed:   
This award is given to 3 people with the best costume / outfit for the race. 
Participants are responsible for choosing appropriate and safe attire; such attire, including costumes, MAY NOT limit the participant's field of vision or unnecessarily impede movement.   Race officials will ask any participant that the officials deem, in their sole discretion, to be wearing an unsafe mask or outfit to remove the unsafe article(s).  If the participant fails to remove the article(s), the race officials will disqualify the participant.  Sign-up at the prize table inside of Prescott Hall before the race to make sure you are included in the "Best Dressed" contest.

Stroller Division:  
This award is given to the 1st male and 1st female who finish pushing a stroller.  Teamwork is allowed and encouraged in the stroller division. The first male to cross the finish line pushing a stroller will be named "Stroller Champ," and the first female will be named "Stroller Queen."  Participants pushing a stroller are eligible for age-group awards. 

2013 Special Stroller Division:

Pete (and Nicole) Ziegler finish strong with a time of 25 min 54.5 sec and this year's title of STROLLER CHAMP (1st male to finish pushing a stroller).   In a close second place finish, Ben (and Jordan) Coonce finished with a time of 27 min 35.2 sec.   Not far behind them was Cookeville Mayor Matt Swallow's family with a time of 30 min 26.4 sec in 3rd place in the stroller division. This performance earned Matt's wife, Kelly, the well-deserved title of STROLLER QUEEN as the first female to cross the finish line pushing a stroller.
